Dr. Lori Limacher is a Clinical Fellow and Approved Supervisor with the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, and is a Clinical Nurse Specialist in full-time private practice in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. She has been in practice for more than 30 years, helping adults, couples, and teens with a wide range of personal and interpersonal issues. Her unique expertise, one that crosses and blends relational psychotherapy and nursing, brings a unique perspective and expansive range of interventions into the therapy setting. Her thriving practice spans self- referrals and private referrals from family doctors, healthcare, and professional agencies.
As well as her work in psychotherapy, she has practiced in myriad settings as a highly valued teacher, consultant, and program manager. She has served as an assistant professor of Nursing at the University of Calgary, a guest lecturer and instructor at both the University of Calgary and Mount Royal University, and as a Family Therapy Teacher and Practice Leader at the Calgary Health Region, Family Therapy Training Program. As a therapist she draws on this diverse and extensive background.
